GOALS ACTIONS

Focus on Key production steps
commit to your goals
ignore your inner critic
you must not give up
you must make it the most important
you must take action immediately and frequency
ACT!

Let go of expectations, and keep actions on what you can control.

GOAL SETTING

Sometimes goal setting is like being in a large big maze, shrowed in mystery and fear. Goal achieve is a process from moving from one place to another. The problem is a map from someone else will be untargeted to your needs. What if you had a focused map where you want to go. Where to start?

Look at every part of your life, and take the time to know what you would like to change.

1: Specify the Objective
In order to achieve any goal, you have to first know exactly what you’re aiming to achieve. Each goal you set should include information such as:

* When: A date for the fulfillment of your goals.
* What: The specific outcome you want.
* Where: Location, if applicable, e.g. where you want to live or work.
* How: You may have a preference as to how you want things to happen but this may not always be within your control.
* Who: If your goals involve others, you’ll want to highlight your expectations.
* Why: Your reasons for wanting to achieve your goals focusing on what you want, rather than what you don’t want.

2: Break it Down

Every large goal is comprised of smaller parts. Sometimes these smaller parts are different facets of a bigger goal, and sometimes they are simply measured increments toward it.

3: Identify Clear Action Steps

You need to think about the action steps that will move you toward the finish line.

* Daily actions are usually small to moderate in scale but hold the power of duplication and accumulation.
* Weekly actions may be a bit larger in scale, take a little longer to complete and may involve an element of risk. They may also help you face your fears and include things like releasing your creations to the public, or increasing your business marketing efforts. These bolder actions usually bring about bigger results.
* Monthly actions are things you do to keep yourself on track, like evaluate your progress and readjust your plans if necessary. They can also include activities like networking, personal development and research.

4: Set a General Time-line for Completion
While setting a deadline can be incredibly motivating and keep you focused, it can also cause immense frustration if things don’t move along at the pace you expect. So you need to set a deadline that is achievable.

5: Develop a ‘Plan B’
As much as we’d like things to go according to plan, it doesn’t always turn out like that. So having a ‘Plan B’ for every step of your journey can save a lot of time, not to mention frustration! Imagine the difference between feeling immobilized because your path is blocked, or calmly switching gears and moving to Plan B. It can make or break fulfillment of your goals.

6: Create the Right Mindset for Success
By now you should have a clear, detailed plan for achieving your goal. How could you fail with a plan like this? You couldn’t . . . unless your own thoughts begin to work against you. There are three key things to keep in mind if you want to stay focused and motivated.

* Commit to your goal: You must be willing to keep working toward what you want, no matter how difficult it may seem at times.
* Take action: The most detailed and effective plan is worthless if you never put it into action.
* Let go: Don’t get mired in frustration about things you can’t control. Detach from unrealistic expectations and instead keep your attention squarely on what you can control, which is your own actions.

7: Evaluate Your Progress
Evaluation can help keep you honest about your efforts, reveal holes in your plans and inspire you to keep going when you notice even moderate results happening.

Once you become comfortable with these steps, goal achievement will become a simple and pleasant experience for you, no matter what you want to attain.

You’ll know how to conquer your inner demons (like fear and confusion), face challenges head-on, and move quickly and precisely to your chosen outcome.

You’ll realize that your quality of life is completely within your control, and you need only follow a specific route to reach any destination you desire.

Then simply repeat the process to get to your next destination, and the next, and the next!

It’s as easy as lacing up your walking shoes and taking a stroll. You may encounter some hills and valleys, perhaps a bit of bad weather or an aggressive dog or two, but just keep going and you’ll get where you want to go.

Productivity at Work

I don't know about you but many days at work I look up and wonder where the day has gone. Here is some tips that have helped me to increase my efficiency and productivity.

1) Write a daily task list and plan your day every morning. There’s nothing like a task list sitting next to you to keep you focused. When you have a list of the things you need to accomplish in a day, having that close to you constantly reminding you of what needs to be done is a great way of keeping on track. Tackle the phone calls early then move on to the harder tasks.

2)Time boxing. Instead of working at something till it is done, try working on it for a limited period, say 30 mins. By that time, the task is either completed or you allocate another time slot, perhaps in another day, to pick it up again. This way, you keep your work fresh and engaging throughout the entire working day.

3) Setup filters in your email. If you spend a lot of your time communicating and planning in front of your computer, chances are you deal with emails on a frequent basis. Setting up filters in your email client can be a great way of sorting out what’s important and urgent from personal stuff which can wait. Instead of dealing with a single Inbox with hundreds of unread email, you only need to deal with smaller folders categorised by project, priority and context.

Do not check personal email in the morning. Checking personal emails can be very distracting even with filters setup. You should check your personal email only after you have a few tasks completed or underway.

4) Set your Skype status to not available.

5) Turn-on the music or just where noise canceling ear phones. Be careful that music choices are not distracting.

6)Take a break every 15 minutes get out of chair for every 45 minutes

7) Keep your work space clean. Clean desk, and organized will make you feel better.

8) Limit your internet surfering. This can be a major distraction.

9) Change your perception, and challenge yourself to make work fun and stay connected people. Remeber people are good.

Demotions at Work

Wether a demotion is due to circumstances or by self-inflicted behavior the result is the same. I have been climbing out of the demoralizing hole of a demotion for the past year. I will be the first to say that it creates many challenges from ego to reputation. It has been an up hill battle, and takes twice as much effort then someone who hasn't gotten themselves in this predictament. It becomes a challenge of both reality and perceptions.

The first step is to separate your bruised ego from who you are. It is important to remember that you are not your job. Take the time to look at who you are besides your job.

If you do get demoted do not think you have no power with your boss. Negotiate to not take a salary decrease but possible just a title demotion. You would be surprised at how this works.

Let your boss know you are willing to change, and want the opportunity to progress and become a contributing member of the team.

Most important remember you are a good person, and make sure to find outlets outside of work so that work does not become your only focus of attention.

Happiness at Work

I need to evaluate what makes me happy at work?

- I need to know I am working on things that make a difference
- I need to know I am appreciated through compensation and encouragement
- I need to know that my opinion matters
- I need to have interesting and challenging work
- I need to feel that I am learning and growing
- I need to have a career path
- I need to know it is acceptable to take risks and fail without negative consequences
- I need to have time to recharge my batteries, and think out side the box

Ego (False self) - The Illusion of Separation

A human being is part of a whole, called by us the ‘Universe,’ a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings, as something separated from the rest—a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circles of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.

ALBERT EINSTEIN

Ego should not drive my decisions or my feelings. It is important that the heart makes the decisions but validate with the mind. No dissonance should exist between my head and heart. If there does then I need to relook at my decision.

There are times that I feel very at peace. These are the times when my head and heart are in agreement. Exstinctively, I often know the right decision and need to trust myself.

How much is the ego involved in my decisions?
Can I separate my ego from reality to reach my goals?

Journey to Success

I do believe in Deepak Chopra's 'Seven Laws for Spiritual Success'

A law is the process by process by which unmanifest becomes the manifest, and the process by which the dreamer manifests his dreams.

Success is defined as the
'Continual Expansion of Happiness and the progressive realization of worthy goals', therefore
Success can be seen as the 'ability to fulfill desires with effortless ease'
'The ultimate true success would be the miraculous'

Law of Karma
Every action generates a force of energy that returns to us in like kind...what we sow is what we reap. And when we choose actions that bring happiness and success to others, the fruit of our karma is happiness and success.
Witness Choices in each moment - best to be fully conscious / aware in the moment
Evaluate Consequences of your choices - will choice bring happiness to those around me
Listen with your Heart -ask your heart for guidance - be guided - look for feeling of comfort / discomfort

Law of least effort
Nature's intelligence functions with effortless ease...with carefreeness, harmony, and love. And when we harness the forces of harmony, joy, and love, we create success and good fortune with effortless ease.

Practise Acceptance - accept people as are - know that this moment is as it is supposed to be
Take Responsibility for actions, not blaming others/ thinhgs
Have your awareness in Defenselessness - no need to persuade others - don't be attached rigidly to one point of view

Law of Giving and Receiving
The universe operates through dynamic exchange...giving and receiving are different aspects of the flow of energy in the universe. And in our willingness to give that which we seek, we keep the abundance of the universe circulating in our lives.
Give something to everyone you meet eg. not necessarily money, can be gift, compliment, or silent blessing or prayer.

Be open to receive from others. Gratefully Receive gifts, nature, sunlight, snow etc.
Make commitment to Circulate, caring, appreciating and loving

Pure Potentiality
The source of all creation is pure consciousness...pure potentiality seeking expression from the unmanifest to the manifest. And when we realize that our true Self is one of pure potentiality, we align with the power that manifests everything in the universe.

Practise Silent Meditation- 15 minutes in morning & night, ideally 30mins dawn & dusk
Commune With Nature - appreciate the beauty
Practise Non-Judgement - say to yourself Today I shall Judge Nothing

Law of Intention and desire
Inherent in every intention and desire is the mechanics for its fulfillment...intention and desire in the field of pure potentiality have infinite organizing power. And when we introduce an intention in the fertile ground of pure potentiality, we put this infinite organizing power to work for us.

Precent Moment Awareness- slip into silence
List Desires - keep them to yourself
Release your desires to the Universe - relinquishing attachment and outcome

Law of detachment
In detachment lies the wisdom of uncertainty...in the wisdom of uncertainty lies the freedom from our past, from the known, which is the prison of past conditioning. And in our willingness to step into the unknown, the field of all possibilities, we surrender ourselves to the creative mind that orchestrates the dance of the universe.

Commit self to Detached Involvement - no rigid or forced solutions
Wisdom of Uncertainty leads to freedom -
Open to Infinite Possibilities of choices and outcomes

Law of Dharma
Everyone has a purpose in life...a unique or special talent to give to others. And when we blend this unique talent with service to others, we experience the ecstasy and exultation of our own spirit, which is the ultimate goal of all goals.

Discover your higher self- beyond and above ego - spend time in silence
List Your Unique Talents - that lead to state of bliss
Serve Others- ask yourself how can I help? Rather tham what's in it for me - share more, treat people like your brother's and sister's
